The details of our Oklahoma history:
Early 1980s Al McPherson began offering health insurance products as an independent agent in South Oklahoma City.
1988 Eagle Group Associates was incorporated for the first time in life and health products; Al (President), Evelyn (Secretary/Treasurer) and Angela (VP) were the officers.
Mid 1980s Angela Davis went to work at the family agency in an administrative capacity after leaving a position as office manager for a general contractor; she soon obtained a health and life insurance license.
Mid 90’s Angela left Eagle Group for a position with a professional employer organization as a benefits manager for employees and liaison to the clients for HR matters; later, the duties of an internal insurance agency manager were added. May 2008 Angela returned to the family business. 2013 Amber McPherson (youngest of the McPherson children) joined the agency in an administrative role.
June 2014 Al and Evelyn stepped down from the corporation. This change allowed him time to pursue some personal interests and also serve the agency by returning to some direct client work.
2015 Amber obtained her P&C License, becoming an active agent for Eagle Group; Robert Davis, Angela’s husband, joined the agency mid-year to assist in operations on a part-time basis
Today, the family business continues.
